Just over a mile from Stegna is the large village of Archangelos with more tavernas and bars and the ruins of a 15th century Crusader castle. Archangelos has narrow winding lanes and some picturesque old houses. The village is famous for its carpets, rugs, pottery and leather goods.

With your own transport you could visit other east coast resorts like Kolymbia and the superb beach at Tsampika; a long gently sloping sandy EU Blue Flag beach in a fine bay with a monastery. Holidays in Stegna could include a visit to Agathi beach to the south; a lovely cove with superb deep fine golden sand, and the curious tiny chapel of Ayia Agathi set in a cave at the end of the beach.
