Stari Grad Weather

The island of Hvar is blessed with the sunniest weather in Croatia, and holiday-makers to Stari Grad will find the weather spectacular. Stari Grad receives over 2700 hours of sunshine per year and from May until October the temperature will not dip below 20C. During the hottest months of June, July and August you can expect the temperature in Stari Grad to hit 30C and above. Expect to receive around 12 hours of sunshine per day during the summer months. Rain in Stari Grad will mainly stick to the autumn and early winter months and will not occur at all during the summer.

The winter climate in Stari Grad is mildand the sea temperatures are still warm enough to permit swimming as late as November. Easter family holidays in Stari Grad are very popular thanks to the 24C temperature. The island is in full bloom during the spring, and it is the perfect time of the year to take boat trips to the nearby island of Brac and the lively city of Split.
