St Peters (Aghios Petros) Weather

St. Peters, or Agios Petros, lies on the southern tip of Corfu, and experiences a typically Mediterranean climate, with hot summers and mild winters. As the resort is located in the very south of the island, St. Peters enjoys plenty of sunshine and high temperatures, sometimes hotter than other more northern resorts. Summers see average daytime highs of 30C, and up to 12 hours of sunshine each day.

 

Spring brings warm weather, with March and April experiencing daytime highs of 15C - 18C, and between 5 - 7 hours of sun. There is around 70mm of rainfall at this time, with the days a little changeable, and a night-time average temperature of 5C - 8C. May receives more sun, up to 9 hours each day, and the daytime highs hover around 23C, rising to 27C in June. This early summer period is ideal for those wanting to avoid the crowds, with hot weather and plenty of sunshine making for enjoyable days on the beach. Peak season months of July and August see soaring temperatures of up to 30C, and glorious sunshine for 12 hours each day, with the resort receiving limited rainfall - a monthly average of around 12mm - 21mm. The night-time temperature of 17C allows visitors to spend pleasant evenings outside eating, drinking and generally having fun, whilst water temperatures of 24C - 26C mean great conditions for boating, swimming and water sports.

 

September sees temperatures remaining high, with the average of 27C accompanied by 9 hours of sunshine, dropping to 23C in October. There's increased rainfall at this time, with October experiencing as much as 150mm during the month, and November and December seeing over 200mm each. Winters are mild, averaging between 12C - 15C, with January and February seeing the coldest weather.
