Weather in Spain - Ideal for a summer holiday
Most visitors are attracted to Spain by its attractive warm climate and sunny skies, with holidays to the country and its islands remaining as popular as ever. The resorts on the long Mediterranean coastline see plenty of sunshine and high temperatures, and offer the perfect climate for a beach holiday. With its location between both the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, and its heavily mountainous terrain (home to some ski resorts), Spanish weather does vary immensely between regions, with a huge difference in the north and south of the country.
Spain weather - Plenty of sunshine
Most places in Spain see a great deal of sunshine during the summer, from the inland cities, to the holiday islands such as the Balearics and the Canaries. The east and south Mediterranean coasts, as well as the aforementioned islands, boast a typically hot dry climate, receiving plenty of sunshine in the high season and pleasant temperatures all year round. In the height of summer, the region receives around 12 hours of sunshine and temperatures can reach upwards of 30c, making it ideal for sunbathing and watersports. The Atlantic coast also sees high temperatures during the summer, whereas Northern Spain tends to be wetter and cloudier, with an average of 8 hours of sunshine a day.

With temperatures in the south averaging between 20-25c during the spring and autumn months, Spain remains a popular holiday destination all year round.
