Son Bou Weather

A spectacular beach and glorious year round sunshine are two of the main reasons why Son Bou is a favourite destination with UK holiday makers. The summer months in Son Bou are hot but not excessively so and Menorca is famously known as the windy island with breezes that blow in and soften the summer heat. The climate in Son Bou during the long summer months is spectacular. Temperatures head over the 20C mark from May and do not usually dip below this until the end of October. Summer sunshine levels are around 11 hours per day and the sea temperatures can reach up to 25C. Son Bou does have a very stable climate and rainfall will be the main seasonal change throughout the year. The winter months do receive the most rainfall but there will still be plenty of warm sunny days. Temperatures during December and January are around the 13C mark and comparable to a warm UK spring day. By April the temperature will be nudging the 20C mark and the Menorcan countryside becomes very lush and green.
