Son Bou Things To Do
Beaches
Son Bou beach is one of the most famous, and longest on Menorca. A 3Km stretch of fine white sand that is sheltered by dunes and marshes. Children will love feeding the ducks at the lagoon while the parents sunbathe and take part in the numerous water sports on offer here. This is an amazing beach with one secluded area dedicated for those who like to bare all.
Water Sports
As you would expect from a beach resort that boasts all year round sunshine there are plenty of water sports available in Son Bou. Jet-skiing, windsurfing and the always popular pedalos are available. Scuba diving is very popular due to the clarity of the Mediterranean waters and there is a dive school in Son Bou that can arrange lessons and excursions.
Restaurants
There are numerous restaurants and cafes in Son Bou that provide Mediterranean, international, and British dishes. Seafood lovers will be in heaven with the fresh fish and seafood dishes provided by the restaurants by the beach. Take a trip to nearby Mahon to visit some of the truly authentic Spanish restaurants and bars.
Children’s Activities
Son Bou is a very family friendly resort and there are plenty of activities to keep the children happy for hours. The Maze Them Park is a treasure hunt set in a maze with actors dressed as clowns and witches who help the children to find various items. There are also plenty of water chutes, arcades, and an abundance of natural wildlife to keep the kids entertained.
Sight Seeing
Menorca is a small island and a holiday in Son Bou makes an ideal base from which to go exploring. Nearby Mahon and Ciutadella are both less than 30 minutes from Son Bou and offer museums, authentic Spanish restaurants and numerous shopping opportunities. Choose a restaurant by Mahon’s harbour and dine al fresco as the sun sets over the Mediterranean Sea.
