Family holidays in Son Parc
Son Parc, situated on the north coast of Menorca, just a 30 minute transfer from the airport, is an ideal destination for a relaxing family holiday. The resort is home to a large sandy beach and boasts the only golf course on the entire island, which is open every day of the year. Son Parc, located between the fishing village of Fornells and the more lively resort of Arenal, is set against some beautiful pine-clad hills and is ideally placed to explore the rugged northern coastline of Menorca.

The large wide beach at Son Parc is considered to be one of the best on the island. Golden sand curves around the dramatic rugged coastline, and the eastern end shelves gently into the shallow warm waters, making it ideal for paddling and swimming. Backed by sand dunes, the beach at Son Parc offers a range of facilities, including the hire of motor boats, jet-skis and pedalos, and windsurfing is available. Lifeguards patrol the beach and there is a beach bar for necessary refreshments. Son Parc is home to many private villas and apartments, and some larger hotels, and the majority of the shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants are found in the strip. Most of the entertainment is relaxed and low-key, and focused on the small bars and restaurants of Son Parc. Nearby Arenal can be reached by a coastal footpath, and the neighbouring village of Fornells, with its’ delicious fish restaurants, is well worth a visit.
Holidays in Son Parc – Home to Menorcas’ only golf course
Many people stay in Son Parc to play on the islands’ one and only golf course. This championship quality course is found close to the beach, and is set amongst attractive scenery, home to local flora and fauna, including a family of peacocks residing behind the third green. Catering to both beginners and experienced golfers alike, the course was originally 9-holes, but Golf Son Parc has recently been expanded and will soon open as an 18-hole course. The golf course is equipped with a floodlit driving range, tennis courts and a restaurant and bar.
