Walking and hiking
Slovenia boasts fantastic walking and hiking trails, with over half the country covered with verdant forests, perfect for exploring during the spring, summer and autumn months. The landscape, and in particular the mountain ranges, offer a wealth of paths and trails to climb, taking in glacial lakes and waterfalls, and an abundance of flora and fauna.

Cycling
With a huge amount of marked paths and prepared trails covering the countryside, Slovenia offers some fantastic terrain for cyclists, whether you are looking for a leisurely cruise or some serious mountain-biking. The spectacular rural landscape and warm summer weather make Slovenia a popular destination for specialist cycling tours and trips.

Rivers and mountains
Try a new sport whilst enjoying the great outdoors in the stunning mountains and rivers of Slovenia. Against a backdrop of spectacular scenery, the country offers a host of exhilarating outdoor activities, such as paragliding, hang-gliding, ballooning and rock-climbing, and of course, skiing in winter. Horse-riding

Golf
With nine courses throughout the country, golf is becoming an increasingly popular activity. Home to some charming courses, with spectacular backdrops, a round of golf is a great way to relax and enjoy the beauty of the landscape.

Triglav National Park
Slovenias' only national park is a major year-round attraction. The site of popular and much-visited tourist centres, such as Bled, Bohinj and Kranjska Gora, the park is an area of astounding beauty, with an assortment of lakes, valleys, waterfalls and gorges, and an ideal spot for some peace and tranquillity.

Beaches
More and more visitors are discovering the charm of Slovenias' beach resorts. With a glorious Mediterranean climate, sandy beaches and clean seas, as well as plenty of modern tourist facilities, the Adriatic coastline is a great choice for a relaxing summer holiday.

Day trips
From the beautiful Alpine lakes at Bled and Bohinj, to the fascinating Postojna caves, Slovenia offers plenty of day-trips and excursions. The charming capital city of Ljubljana, full of elegant squares and delightful architecture, is ideally placed for exploring this small country, being 90 minutes away from most attractions.
