The fantastic Sea, Air and Space Museum is a short walk and well worth a visit – among other attractions it has a whole aircraft carrier to explore. The off-Broadway theatres are nearby, as are trendy recording and TV studios, so you may spot stars getting in and out of limousines. The famous Blue Note Café is a 10-min walk, home of the best jazz in town, and the hotel itself has occasional jazz, blues and big band music in its pleasant cocktail lounge. The restaurant serves great value fare and the pool will be perfect for an early evening reviver.
