Silverjet Will Not Fly Again

News  >  Silverjet
Thursday, 19 June 2008
dubai flightsSuggestions that Silverjet is to be revived by a Middle East investor following its demise earlier this month have been rejected by the all business carriers chief executive Lawrence Hunt.

Silverjet ceased operations on May 30 and has been the subject of takeovers ever since. However, Hunt has rubbished plans by Arabjet to revive the Luton based airline, labeling them ‘a bunch of timewaster’s.

"We’ve been talking to them since February, providing business plans, but it never moved forward. They can’t even raise the £125,000 needed to secure negotiations with the administrators. They just do not have the funding.”

The website of Arabjet had announced plans to launch its own services next year for passengers looking for premium travel in the Middle East. However, Hunt confirmed that now that the CAA has revoked their licenses, there was nothing to buy any more, adding that Silverjet would not fly again.
