business class flightsBusiness class flights specialist Silverjet has announced that February brought with it an increased load factor, as well as high expectations for forward bookings to be strong.

Silverjet, which operates out of Luton and claims to offer a private jet experience at a fraction of the price, recorded a February load factor of 5% - a 10% increase on January’s results. Silverjet sold a total of 8,829 seats in February out of an available 13,800 on its routes to New York and Dubai.

Silverjet chief executive Lawrence Hunt was pleased with the improved results in February and confirmed that the airline was well placed for similar results in the future:

“Forward bookings remain strong for both out New York and Dubai service which is further testament to the market endorsement of our product. We continue to see a very high number of repeat customers. On our New York service, over 25% of customers are now repeat bookers. Our Dubai service continues to go from strength to strength and is ahead of expectations.”

Hunt added that every effort was being made to ensure that Silverjet will achieve its first month of operating profit and be cash generative in March 2008.
