Salina Holidays Salina Bay, located on the rocky northern coastline of Malta, is a quiet resort, with some great coastal views, best suited to families and couples. It lies on a fairly undeveloped area in the St. Paul’s Bay region, and is positioned at the end of the coastline which stretches from Qawra and Bugibba, and out towards Xemxija. Home to some large hotels with many amenities, Salina Bay offers a relaxing and scenic base within walking distance of the busiest tourist resort on Malta.

Salina Holidays – Home to the famous Salt-pans Salina Bay is an attractive narrow bay, famous for its’ extensive salt production. The salt pans were developed in the 16th century by the Knights of St. John, and, carved out of the rocks, they are still present today and can be seen and smelt down on the shore. Salina Bay is home to a number of large hotels, with a wealth of facilities including swimming pools, and is ideal for those looking for a quiet relaxing resort. The nearest beach to Salina is the small stretch of shingle at Qawra, an upmarket resort just next door, with some wonderful views over the bay. It is home to some new upscale hotels and has some great shops and restaurants along its’ seafront promenade. The next resort along is the bustling and noisy Bugibba, with its’ beachfront lidos and plenty of budget accommodation, lively bars and tourist restaurants.
Holidays to Salina – Ideally placed to enjoy the St. Paul’s area Salina Bay is ideally placed for enjoying the sights and attractions of St. Paul’s Bay - whether it’s a fun night out in Bugbibba bowling or at the cinema, or just strolling around the picturesque harbour in St. Paul’s Bay. The seafront promenade runs through all the coastal resorts ending at Qawra Point overlooking Salina Bay, and offers plenty of shops and bars, and a huge range of restaurants, from fast food to authentic Maltese cuisine. The best sandy beaches on Malta are just a short drive away, and there are many interesting historical sights in St.Paul’s Bay to visit. A day trip to Gozo is a fun trip, with the ferry departing from the nearby resort of Paradise Bay.
