Ryanair Launches 40 New Routes For Winter 2008 - Thu. 05 Jun. 2008
Ryanair has announced huge expansion plans for winter 2008 with the launch of 40 new European routes, including 12 in the UK. Ryanair is to operate new routes from London Luton, London Stansted, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Bournemouth and Glasgow.

Ryanair has today announced 14 new routes across Europe which are to be launched in October this year. The new routes from Europe’s largest low cost airline include new options from the UK with flights from Bournemouth to Milan and Paris, and flights from Glasgow to Faro, Malaga and Tenerife.

Low cost airline Ryanair has taken a step into the property rental market with the launch of Ryanairvillas.com. The move, in partnership with Web Reservations International allows Villa owners to manage their own advertisements on the website, with features including photos, maps and Villa descriptions.

Ryanair has announced two new routes for summer from London Stansted, with flights to Beziers, in France and Rimini, in Italy. With fares starting from £15 for Rimini and £26 for Beziers, Ryanair claim that the new routes will deliver £4m of savings for 40,000 passengers, compared to British Airways’ high fares and fuel surcharges.

Ryanair will offer Airport transfers on its website in a bid to provide additional ancillary revenue. The Irish carrier will work with ShuttleDirect to provide its 60 million customers with transfers from over 50 airports throughout Europe.

The website of Ryanair will go offline for three days in February in order to update all of their prices to display the total cost including taxes and additional charges. The update is mandatory following instruction from the Office of Fair Trading (OFT), who are growing increasingly disappointed that their January deadline for the price changes has not been met.
