Ronda Things To Do

Situated in deepest southern Spain, in the province of Malaga, Ronda is a fascinating place to choose for a holiday. An ancient Moorish settlement perched on a dramatic limestone escarpment, Ronda is famous for its stunning mountain views and breathtaking architecture. Granzalema contains spectacular caves and gorges, formed from the ancient limestone rocks and Alcornocales is recognised for its cork oak forests and 18 different species of birds of prey.

Every September, Ronda is host to the extraordinary Feria Goyesca event, an infamous festival inspired by the passionate Spanish artist Goya. Revellers in sensational 18th Century costumes parade through the town on highly decorated horse-drawn carriages towards the oldest bullring in Spain, the Plaza del Toros, where the festival culminates in traditional bullfighting.
