Beaches
The Riviera Maya is home to some of the world’s most famous beach resorts including the spectacular Cancun and Playa del Carmen. These beaches are white sanded Caribbean delights with excellent weather to match. The beaches along the coast stretch from Cancun to Tulum and can either be unspoilt and deserted or surrounded by restaurants and bars.
Sightseeing
Sightseeing attractions and excursions in the Riviera Maya can include trekking ancient Mayan ruins to horseback riding through the countryside and exciting tours through the jungle. Visit the Xel-Ha eco-park and take a trip through the amazing Cenotes; illuminated underwater caverns.
Diving
Diving in the Riviera Maya is a must and the Great Maya Reef, which is the second largest reef in the world is a major attraction. The marine life is amazing and cavern diving is just one of the many popular diving experiences that should not be missed.
Golf
The 75 miles of Riviera Maya coastline has numerous golf courses and many of the great golfers have played here. The sea views as you play around the courses are spectacular and the weather is always warm. Clubs cater for all skill levels from the amateurs to the more seasoned golfers.
Restaurants
There is a huge variety of restaurants on offer in the Riviera Maya especially in the busier beach resorts. The hotel restaurants offer a wide selection of dishes including some of the freshest seafood available. Going all inclusive is one of the best options but don’t forget to try some of the Mexican specialities in the local restaurants and cafes.
Nightlife
The nightlife in the Riviera Maya can be as lively or as low key as you wish. There are colourful bars, nightclubs and beach parties where the dancing continues until dawn. If you prefer a more relaxed evening then choose an open air beachfront bar and sip a cocktail as you watch the amazing sunsets over the Caribbean Sea.
