Rhodes Town Weather

The weather in Rhodes Town is the perfect compliment to this exciting and colourful city. Located high up on the northeast coast of Rhodes this cosmopolitan city is blessed with the best climate of the Greek islands. The sun shines down for a record breaking 300 days per year, which explains its local name of Sun Island. Temperatures in Rhodes Town can reach over 30C during the summer months and even the winter months are warm and pleasant. Rainfall in Rhodes Town will stick mainly to the early spring, late autumn and winter months with very little appearing during the summer.

 

The summer months are the perfect time to explore Rhodes Town and enjoy the gorgeous north coast beaches. The hot weather in Rhodes Town arrives during May when the temperature begins to creep towards 30C. June, July and August will bring the hottest weather to Rhodes Town and humidity levels can be high during July and August. Temperatures can soar higher than 30C but the north coast does not receive the intense heat found on the south coast. Spring and autumn will see the weather in Rhodes Town turning warm rather than hot and the humidity levels will decrease. There may be some seasonal showers but these will generally be short lived. Many holiday makers prefer the warm spring and autumn months in which to explore Rhodes. Temperatures will hover just over 20C and swimming is still available until early November. Winter in Rhodes Town will be wetter but there will still be plenty of sunny days with temperatures hovering around 16C.
