Rethymnon Weather – Stunning summer sunshine!
The summer season in Rethymnon stretches from June to September, and even from the start of the season you can expect to work on your tan on the sandy beaches, as temperatures rarely fall lower than 27C in June. Through July and August the temperature can reach 30C and you can expect 12 hours’ sunshine per day before temperatures drop slightly to an average of 27C through September. For those who might be worried the scorching weather may prove a little too much in what is always a busy and bustling resort, the heat is made bearable by welcome northern winds which gently blow in off the Mediterranean Sea.
