Beach
The two sandy bays at Ravda are the main attraction, and offer a peaceful base with facilities such as sun loungers and umbrellas, and convenient bars and cafes. For a busier beach, head to Sunny Beach, just 4km along the coast.
Water Sports
Ravda and the surrounding resorts offer a range of water sports for guests, such as jet-skiing, windsurfing, scuba diving and sailing.
Dining & Entertainment
Known for its good value, Ravda offers a wide range of restaurants and tavernas, serving both international fare and traditional cuisine of Bulgaria - try the freshly caught fish and 'shopska salad', washed down with the local wines. Nightlife centres around the local bars and discos, but for more choice, head to Sunny Beach.
Countryside
Set against a dramatic mountain backdrop, the region offers plenty of walks and trails for those looking to explore the surrounding countryside. There is mountain bikes rental available, and stables where visitors can arrange horse riding.
Water Park
Ravda is close to the largest aqua park in Bulgaria - Aqua Paradise - and there is a free bus service that runs from the resort. Here, visitors can enjoy a huge array of slides and flumes and a variety of pools, including one shaped like a butterfly, and an amphitheatre.
Day Trips
The nearby town of Nessebar is a major attraction, being a UNESCO protected town and a World Heritage Site. There are shuttle buses from Ravda to this ancient city, one of the oldest towns in Europe, home to numerous churches and authentic historic homes. There are also buses to local resorts such as the busy Sunny Beach, and the more upmarket resort of Elenite, to the north of Ravda, as well as the city of Bourgas.
