Ravda - choose from smart new hotels or traditional family-run accommodation
Ravda is a friendly, compact holiday village, 4 km south of the leading Bulgarian holiday resort of Sunny Beach. The area around Ravda was the site of many student summer camps during Communism, but today these are under-going privatisation, while new-build hotels and private villas are also appearing to cater for the burgeoning tourist industry on Bulgaria’s warm Black Sea coastline.

Ravda offers holiday visitors all the benefits of a warm climate, attractive seaside setting, and low-cost restaurants and accommodation. As well as traditional family-run hotels, there are many new holiday apartments and several larger resort hotels to choose from. Ravda boasts a dramatically mountainous backdrop and a peaceful sandy beachfront.
The beach and village are quieter than Sunny Beach, which is 4 km away, so would suit family groups with small children. You can hire sun loungers, umbrellas and jets skis and there are good sailing facilities on offer. Beyond the beach there are plenty of shops and cafes to explore.
From Ravda you can visit nearby Sunny Beach for a bigger, busier beach and greater choice of night life, or Nessebar, with its picturesque old town and rocky headland. Buses run frequently to both destinations, and there is an open-air ‘mini-train’ to Nessebar, making family day-trips very easy.

From Ravda why not visit Nessebar, the historic Bulgarian town which boasts two small beaches, as well as ancient buildings, historic monuments and fashionable restaurants. Here you can explore narrow cobbled streets, old wooden houses, taverns and beautiful flower gardens.
