Rabac Things To Do

Beach
The main beach in Rabac is a beautifully clean gravel bay that has excellent views of the island of Cres. The crystal clear waters are perfect for swimming, snorkelling and windsurfing. There are also many other fine beaches and sheltered coves in the Rabac area just waiting to be discovered, and it is not hard to find your own deserted stretch of beach.

Rabac Summer Festival
If you are a music lover then a visit to Rabac during early August will reward you with a weekend-long summer music festival. Top DJs perform sets on the beach around the clock. Rabac gets extremely busy at this time of year and booking accommodation is essential.

Diving
The Adriatic coastline has some of the most rewarding dive sites. There are spectacular underwater caves, cliffs, and numerous sunken wrecks. There are many diving schools in the area that will teach beginners over three days or longer if required.

Excursions
Rabac is a great starting base for many excursions and day trips. Ferries, buses and trains can all be used to take trips to numerous islands and towns. If you wish to travel farther afield there are international catamarans that travel from Pula, Porec and Rovinj to Venice and Trieste. You can also take a short fish picnic boat trip to the island of Cres from Rabac.

Labin
The town of Labin is only a 40 minute walk from Rabac and this historic town has a mine shaft and museum that is open to the public. The town centre itself is awash with art galleries and small studios from which you can purchase some local art. There are also many great restaurants and cafes where you can sit, relax and watch the street musicians perform.

Walking and Hiking
Many people take a Rabac holiday for the fantastic trails around the area. There are some breath-taking views when walking in Rabac and they are definitely picture postcard sights. There are also many trails that are suitable for cycling enthusiasts and stopping off along the way at a traditional restaurant is a must.
