Punta Prima Weather

The climate in Punta Prima will be perfect for those who like long hot summer days with high but not excessive temperatures. Peak season temperatures will rise close to and regularly over the 30C mark but the heat will not be as intense as found on some of the other Balearic Islands. Humidity levels are also low making Punta Prima a very comfortable holiday destination throughout the year. Rainfall is practically non-existent during the summer months and tends to appear infrequently during the late autumn and winter months.

 

Summers in Punta Prima stretch from early May until early October. The temperature will begin creeping over 20C from May, and by July and August will have hit the peak 28C mark. Sunshine levels are high and holiday makers can expect around 11 hours of sunshine per day during the peak summer months. This is the perfect time of the year to lounge on the beaches or swim in the warm Mediterranean Sea. Evening temperatures in Punta Prima during the summer months will also be high at around 20C.

 

The spring and autumn months are popular for holidays in Punta Prima. Autumn can see some rainfall but temperatures during October and November will usually range from 18C to 22C. Spring will be sunnier than the autumn and also a lot drier; perfect for exploring the resorts and towns in Menorca. The winter months will be cooler with an average temperature of around 10C but there will still be plenty of sunny days with peak temperatures of around 13C. Menorca is prone to winds that will help to regulate the temperature and make the heat more manageable throughout the year.
