Punta Brava Weather

The resort of Punta Brava lies along the Riviera Maya on Mexico's Caribbean coastline, just 20 minutes south of Cancun airport. Sitting on a stretch of pristine white sand and backed by tropical jungle, the resort is a haven for those in search of a quiet relaxing base, with the tropical climate providing ideal conditions for sunbathing and water sports. Punta Brava has an annual average temperature of 26C, and sees plenty of sunshine and high temperatures throughout the year.

 

Spring sees high temperatures of around 26C - 27C in Punta Brava, with 6 hours of sunshine each day during April and May. During the summer months, the resort enjoys average highs of 28C and up to 7 hours of daily sun, however the temperature can soar up to 32C. The coastal breezes help to temper the strong heat, and the relaxing beaches of the resort are the ideal place to take advantage of the hot sunny weather. The rainy season in the Riviera Maya runs from May to November, with the most rain falling during September and October, sometimes up to 228mm. March and April are the driest months, receiving as little as 40mm of rain, with the summer months between June and August generally seeing up to 177mm.
