Punta Cana Weather

If you are looking for a tropical beach holiday with year round sunshine then you will not be disappointed by the weather in Punta Cana. The climate in the Dominican Republic is often described as the “endless summer” and with annual temperatures averaging out at 30C it’s not hard to see why. The cooler winter season runs from late November until April and the temperature will be around 29C with eight hours of sunshine per day. For the rest of the year the temperature in Punta Cana will hit the 30C mark and over. Rainfall is moderate and will appear in short bursts between April and October.

 

Punta Cana is a beach paradise with miles of endless white sands lapped by the warm Caribbean Sea. The cool season stretching from November to April is the most popular time of the year for holiday-makers. The weather in Punta Cana at this time of the year is hot but not sweltering and the humidity levels are low. By this time of the year the hurricane season has ended and there will be very little rainfall if any. This is the ideal time of the year for lounging on the sun drenched beaches and swimming and diving in the warm Caribbean Sea. Evenings will be cooler but the temperature will still be around the 20C mark.
