Puerto Morelos has a warm rainy season, running from June to November, and a cooler dry season, from December to May. The tourist season begins in December, when the temperatures are around 28C - 29C, and there is 6 hours of sunshine each day. Humidity is low and the days are dry, with the resort seeing 40mm - 90mm of rainfall each month. Temperatures remain the same until April, when the weather heats up, reaching 32C, and the resort sees 8 hours of daily sunshine. Due to its location on the coast, Puerto Morelos enjoys the benefit of cooling breezes and sees slightly cooler temperatures than other bigger resorts such as Cancun and Playa del Carmen.
