Holidays in Puerto Naos
Puerto Naos, located on the west coast of La Palma, is a great base for a relaxing holiday amongst some stunning scenery and areas of great natural beauty. Built under volcanic cliffs, this traditional fishing village was once a landing place for banana boats, and is now home one of the two tourist resorts on the west, with numerous accommodation complexes, and a wide range of shops, bars and restaurants. Puerto Naos sits on the sunniest part of the island, and enjoys a mild climate all year long.

Holidays in Puerto Naos – The sunniest resort on La Palma
The volcanic beach at Puerto Naos is the main attraction of the resort – the expanse of black sand stretches for 500m along the coast, and is the longest beach on the island of La Palma. The beach is great for sunbathing and is backed by attractive trees for that much needed shade. This area of the coast is known for its’ wonderful sandy beaches, with Playa de Charco Verde nearby and Playa de las Monjas, the only nudist beach on the island, just south of the resort. Puerto Naos has quite a few apartment complexes and just one large hotel, set amongst a banana plantation and offering a wealth of facilities. Behind the beach, the town of Puerto Naos is made up of just a few streets, and a boulevard lined with shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel and bars make up the nightlife in Puerto Naos, which is fairly busy for the island, but still low-key in comparison to the other Canary Islands.

Holidays in Puerto Naos – Close to the National Park
The holiday resort of Puerto Naos is situated just 10 km from one of the main attractions on the island of La Palma, the Taburiente Caldera National Park. The fourth national park to be established in Spain, it is the site of a massive volcanic rock wall stretching for 10km, and the highest point on the island, the Roque de los Muchachos, at 2,426m above sea level, as well as an amazing array of plants and flowers. Also close to Puerto Naos is the main town on the west coast, Llanos de Aridane, just 8km away, a charming town home to some well-preserved buildings with traditional wooden carved balconies. Throughout the island of La Palma there are some wonderful walking and hiking trails, and mountain biking, scuba-diving, horse-back riding and paragliding are popular activities.
