Praia do Forte Weather

Praia do Forte lies in the state of Bahia in northeast Brazil. The resort experiences a hot tropical climate with an abundance of sunshine all through the year, and enjoys an average annual temperature of 28C. A year-round destination, the best time to visit Praia do Forte is from November to March, with the resort's rainy season running from April to July.

 

The Brazilian summer season sees dry days and high temperatures, with January and February being the peak tourist season, experiencing an average high of 30C - 32C and 8 hours of sun each day. Humidity is very high during this time, however the coastal breezes help to temper the extreme heat, and, as the sun is extremely strong in Praia do Forte, it's important to take the necessary precautions, and stay out of the sun when it is at its hottest in the middle of the day. April sees the start of autumn in Brazil, when temperatures start to drop a few degrees, with the area still seeing highs of 28C. April and May are the wettest months in Praia do Forte, receiving over 300mm of rain each month, with June and July seeing between 200mm-250mm. Tropical rainfall in Praia do Forte is heavy and intense, but is relatively short-lived, so visitors can still sunbathe and enjoy the beach for most of the time.

Brazilian winters do not vary dramatically from the summers in terms of heat, with temperatures only dropping down to an average of 26C in June and July. The winter season in Brazil is defined as the 'dry season', with this period seeing uniform amounts of rainfall - around 100mm each month.
