Praia da Falesia Weather

Praia da Falesia lies between Albufeira and Vilamoura in the Algarve in Portugal, and enjoys a typically-Mediterranean climate with hot dry summers and mild winters. The long sandy beach, backed by red cliffs and pine forests, is the main focus of the resort and the weather attracts many visitors each summer, thanks to the abundance of sunshine and high temperatures.

 

A great golfing destination, spring and autumn see the best temperatures for the sport, with average temperatures of between 18C - 23C, and at least 6 hours of sunshine each day. The temperature heats up in May, averaging 22C, rising to 25C in June and peaking at 28C - 30C in the high season months of July and August. Coastal breezes help to temper these high temperatures during the summer, with Praia da Falesia experiencing a low level of humidity and pleasant sea temperatures of 21C. Summers see as many as 12 hours of sunshine each day, and rainfall during this time is very limited, with July and August seeing virtually no precipitation, and the months of June and September receiving 15-16mm. Rain during the summer is generally in the form of short-lived showers.

 

Winters in Praia de Falesia experience comfortable temperatures of 16C, and at least 5 hours of sun, with conditions still good for a round of golf, as well as specialist walking and cycling holidays. December is the wettest month in Praia da Falesia, seeing 99mm of rainfall and 10 wet days a month.
