The beach in Praia de Oura is known as the golden beach due to its stretch of sweeping golden sands. One of the many beautiful beaches in the Albufeira area, it is a lively and popular beach with both locals and holiday makers. This great beach is also within easy walking distance of shops and cafes.
Golfing
Golfing holidays in Praia de Oura are a very popular past time and you could go on holiday and try a different golf course every day in this area. Excellent golf courses can be found at Balaia Golf Village and the Sheraton Pine Cliffs.
Nightlife
The nightlife in Praia de Oura is second to none if you want your entertainment to consist of busy bars, clubs and restaurants. There are a large number of discos in the area or if you fancy something a bit more relaxing you can while away the hours playing bingo or bowls. Don’t forget to check out the area known as the Strip; a mile long lane of bars, discos and restaurants.

As you would expect from a beach resort, there is an abundance of water sports in Praia de Oura. Diving, snorkelling and swimming are all popular on the numerous beaches, and there are dive centres where short courses can be taken at little cost.
Aquarium
Children and adults will love the aquarium located in nearby Albufeira. The dolphin show comes highly recommended and there are fun rides for all the family.
Walking and Treking
Take a walk along the cliffs from Praia de Oura to Albufeira and you will be rewarded with some spectacular scenery. The walk is suitable for all ages and will have panoramic views of the areas beaches, coves and rugged coastline. A great area for taking those holiday snapshots.
