Prague is set to host some of the most exciting New Years Eve Celebrations in Europe this year as some 100,000 visitors are expected to attend. Prague, considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world and one of Europe's favourite city break destinations, is getting ready to literally explode on New Years Eve.
The extraordinary numbers of tourists are expected to flock towards Prague city centre and The Old Town Square with its lively atmosphere and fireworks. Whilst for a quieter option, many visitors will take in the Charles Bridge and Petrin Hill where the atmosphere is fun yet more relaxed, as it is possible to take in the whole scene over the river from the elevated position of the Castle or "Stalin Statue".
There are an estimated 87,000 hotel beds in Prague according to tourism analyst Jaromír Beránek and so highly anticipated are the celebrations that many bookings for New Year's are taken up to a year in advance, although there are a number of hotels that still have vacancies for New Year city breaks.
