Our review of Portugal...
From the much-visited and beloved Algarve, to the cosmopolitan Lisbon coast and the charming towns and villages that dot the countryside, the ever-popular Portugal seems to offer something for everyone. With its wonderful Mediterranean climate and distinctive rugged coastline, the sunny Algarve continues to be a firm favourite with British holidaymakers, attracting many with its family-friendly atmosphere, endless golden beaches, top-class sporting facilities, and wide range of accommodation and entertainment options. To see a more traditional side of Portugal, travel north to the sophisticated and stylish towns of Cascais and Estoril, the peaceful and less-commercial Costa Verde, with its rustic landscapes of vineyards and rolling green hills, or take a few days to explore the vibrant city streets of Lisbon and Oporto.

"The Algarve is full of absolutely fantastic beaches, perfect for children, and we have had some wonderful holidays here, in both apartments and villas. There are still unspoilt villages along the coastline - try Ferragudo or Cabanas for a change from the more familiar resorts."

"We took the whole family to Praia d'Oura, and have to say it was a real success. We mostly stayed on the beaches, and it was lovely exploring the coastline and finding different ones to spend to day on. It was quite touristy but perfect for what we wanted. Our apartments were ideal, very clean and close to each other. Evenings were all about eating and drinking, as the food is delicious, and enjoying each others' company, but there was nightlife for the younger ones."

"I'd highly recommend booking a trip to Lisbon. I'd never thought about going there before, but we just went just for the weekend, and had a really relaxing and quite unusual city break, at a good price. There's a great atmosphere, loads to see if you just want to wander round, and amazing bars and cafes to chill out in. Plus it was sunny!"
