Wet weather may occur in sudden heavy downpours following a short spell of overcast weather but tends to be quite brief at this time. Nights are cool and start to become a little chilly from September onwards.

Visitors planning a low season holiday should not despair too much as wet weather falls on a relatively few number of days which gradually reduces in intensity as winter gives way to spring. Throughout winter a fair amount of dry sunny weather should be enjoyed with 5 or 6 hours of sunshine and Porto Heli weather should see temperatures of 14c and above. It is extremely rare for sea level daytime temperatures to fall anywhere near freezing at any time of year.
