Our review of Port Aventura...
A good all-round family entertainment centre, the theme park of Port Aventura is a key attraction on Spain’s' Golden Coast. With excellent access from 2 airports just half an hour away, Port Aventura is top of many visitors' list when they come on holiday to Costa Dorada, with the popular tourist town of Salou being a convenient base for many. Divided into 5 themed regions, including Mexico, Polynesia, the Mediterranean, the Far West and China (home to the infamous and very scary Dragon Khan ride), Port Aventura is a mass of rides, rollercoaster’s and shows, and an ideal way to spend a few action-packed and thrilling days in the sun. A great alternative if you don't want to spend all your time lying on the beach, the family-friendly Port Aventura has plenty for everyone, is reasonably-priced and easy to get around. Port Aventura resort also includes some hotels, a beach club and a water park.

"We were looking forward to taking our children to Port Aventura, as is it a much cheaper option and much closer than Disney - with great weather thrown in! Had a very easy journey with smooth transfers, and spent a very enjoyable few days - if exhausting - travelling around the world in the theme park. We have young children and they loved it - I found there was lots for them to do and we liked soaking up the atmosphere!  Good family amenities too. I'd go back. "

"We had to go when we went to Salou last year - really good value if you get the 3-day ticket pass, including a day at the water park. Usual theme park rides, children loved it, lots of walking required and expensive food and drink (!), but all in all, a fun few days and a nice change from the beach!"
