The popular coastal resort of Playa del Ingles is fortunate enough to receive some of the best weather on Gran Canaria, enjoying warm beautiful conditions all year-round. Its extreme location on the south coast of the island ensures that the resort receives plenty of sunshine throughout the year, attracting huge numbers of tourists to its shores in both summer and winter.
Weather in Playa del Ingles - Sunniest and driest region on the island
With perhaps one of the best climates in the world, the weather in Gran Canaria is known for its constant spring-like conditions and abundance of sunshine. Playa del Ingles enjoys an annual average temperature of 23C, with the resort seeing little variation in seasonal temperatures. Spring highs range between 21C and 23C, offering wonderful conditions for sightseeing and activities, and during the summer temperatures range between 23C and 27C. The trade winds that blow across Gran Canaria help to temper the high temperatures and create excellent conditions for windsurfing along the coast.

Equally as popular as a winter sun destination, Playa del Ingles sees temperatures remain at a high of 19C, even during the coldest month of January. November and December still see very pleasant temperatures of 20C - 22C, and an average of 6 - 7 hours of sunshine every day, with the water temperatures during the winter only dropping to 18C. Playa del Ingles' southerly location also mean it remains one of the driest coastal resorts on the island, with the whole region only seeing 250mm of rainfall each year.
