Our review of Playa del Ingles...
With its miles of clean sandy beach, abundance of tourist facilities and extensive entertainment and nightlife options, the 'Beach of the English' certainly lives up to its name, thanks to the huge amounts of British tourists who flock here year after year. Attracting families and couples as well as the young party crowd, Playa del Ingles is a true fun-in-the-sun destination, with plenty of reasonably-priced high-rise accommodation choices, streets full of shopping malls, and a huge array of music bars, clubs and restaurants catering to every tourists' needs. Not for those looking for the truly authentic Canarian experience, Playa del Ingles is a fast-paced commercial resort, offering year-round sunshine and a fun and lively atmosphere.

"A really good choice for a summer holiday full of sunshine and clubbing! Holiday was a GREAT price and the weather was absolutely perfect - not too hot. Beach is huge and there's plenty to do - if you can drag yourself away from the beach!"

"We normally go to the Balearics or Spain every year, but this year tried a winter sun break in Gran Canaria. Playa del Ingles is a young resort buzzing with life, but there were still lots of families like us. Kids loved the go-karting, the water parks and the parrots at Palmitos Park. Our favourite day trip was to the sand dunes, very close by at Maspalomas - quite amazing. Make sure you take the camera for your camel ride!"

"I'd recommend hiring a car, and it's actually quite cheap if you use it a lot. We'd heard how different the rest of the island was, so had some nice days out touring the place - we travelled inland and along the coast - what spectacular scenery! Went to the other end of the island to Las Palmas, great for shopping."
