The popular tourist resort of Playa de las Americas enjoys a beautiful spring-like climate, with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures all year round. Tenerife is home to a variety of climate zones, with the north being humid and wetter than the dry arid south. Located on the southwest coast of the island, the resort sees some of the best weather on Tenerife, with its hot subtropical climate creating high temperatures with little rain.

Spring days here enjoy blue cloudless skies and highs of 22C-23C, which rise to 25C and 26C in July and August, and run through to October. Summers in the resort are not oppressively hot, with the resort seeing a maximum high of 28C. The Trade winds, which blow from the north-east, are a contributing factor to the islands' ideal climate, with the coastal resort of Playa de las Americas seeing welcome breezes during the summer, helping to temper the heat and keep the temperatures constant. The sun shines for an average of 9 hours a day throughout the summer, and the level of rainfall is virtually non-existent.

With highs of between 18C-22C, Playa de las America is a popular winter sun destination, enjoying no rainy season as such, but mild temperate weather with as much as 6 hours of sunshine every day. With its dry sunny weather combined with very low levels of humidity, Playa de las Americas, and the west coast in general, is considered an ideal climate and great for good-health.
