Playa Blanca Weather

Situated in the southern most part of Lanzarote, you are guaranteed endlessly sunny weather and clear blue skies in Playa Blanca. This all year round holiday destination is blessed with high summer temperatures of around 30C and mild winter temperatures of around 21C. The sun shines down in Playa Blanca for 2500 hours per year and the average annual rainfall is only 16 days. The climate here is dry and hot, and during the long, hot summers you can expect around nine hours of sunshine per day. The proximity to North Africa means that you can expect beautifully warm weather in Playa Blanca no matter which season you choose to visit.

 

The weather in Playa Blanca is ideal if you are a beach lover. From May until October the temperature will not usually dip below 25C, and from July until August the temperature usually heads to the 30C mark. During the summer season rain is nonexistent and the sea temperature is perfect for partaking in water sports such as swimming, snorkelling and diving. Evening temperatures are comfortably warm and light clothing will be all that is needed. Spring and autumn will be slightly cooler but only by a few degrees with temperatures in Playa Blanca staying stable at around 23C.

 

Long known as the perfect winter sunshine destination you can expect temperatures from December to February to hover over the 20C mark. The weather during this period is perfect for a sunny winter break enjoying some golf or lounging on the beaches. Easter family holidays in Playa Blanca are very popular with temperatures once again heading towards 25C and the sun shining down for at least eight hours per day.
