Holidays in Playa de Fornells – Great resort for watersports Playa de Fornells sits on a hillside overlooking the Bay of Cala Tirant, with a lovely sandy beach at the base of the horseshoe-shaped bay. The waters of the bay are clear and shallow, providing a safe environment for swimming, although the north coast can get a little windy at the beginning and end of the season. Here, conditions in the naturally protected bay are perfect for windsurfing, water-skiing and sailing, and Fornells offers tuition in all of these. The bustling harbour of Fornells is full of moored fishing vessels and private boats, and is a charming place to spend an afternoon, and just watch the world go by.
