Playa Paraiso, located on the southwest coast of Tenerife, offers a quiet and secluded base for a holiday, yet close to the action of the busiest resort on the island. A suburb of Playa de las Americas, Playa Paraiso can be found just 10 minutes from its’ brash neighbour, but offers a stark contrast, with some local bars and quiet restaurants. Despite its’ name, Playa Paraiso does not have much of a beach to speak of. There is a small shingle beach in Playa Paraiso, but guests mainly make use of the salt-water lido, which is the focus of the resort. A wide range of apartments and hotels are available in Playa Paraiso, with plenty of facilities and mainly geared to families. Tourists are well catered for in the resort, which is home to a collection of shops, international restaurants and bars, with most of the entertainment being hotel-based.
Holidays in Playa Paraiso – Just 10 minutes from Playa de las Americas
Playa Paraiso is a quiet relaxing base, mainly suited to families and couples, who want access to lively nightlife, but choose to stay somewhere more peaceful. A 10 minute taxi ride from Playa Paraiso brings visitors to Playa de les Americas, with its’ all-night pubs, clubs and English-style restaurants, and beach with its’ sand imported from the Sahara. Mini-golf, bungy-jumping and go-karting are some of the activities to enjoy whilst staying in Playa Paraiso, and a nearby waterpark provides great entertainment for the children. Further afield on the island of Tenerife, other places to visit include Loro Parque at Puerto de la Cruz, nature boat trips to see the whales and dolphins at Los Gigantes, and the National Park surrounding the volcano, Mount Teide.
