Beaches
One of the liveliest beaches on the Costa Brava, Platja d'Aro is a haven for sun-worshippers looking for fun in the sun, and offers everything from busy Blue Flag stretches with extensive facilities, to tiny quiet coves.
 
Water Sports 
Water sports to enjoy in Platja d'Aro include jet skiing, windsurfing, water skiing, kite surfing, wakeboarding, snorkelling, scuba diving, kayaking and parasailing. The resort is also home to the Aquadiver Water Park - a great option for families, featuring a multitude of rides, slides and pools.
 
Boat Trips
There is a yacht club at Platja d'Aro, offering sailboat and powerboat rental, and catamaran cruises from the marina. Fishing trips are also available. 
 
Sports
There's plenty for the avid sports enthusiast visiting Platja d'Aro, and as well as tennis, swimming, gyms, go-karting and bowling, the area offers mountain biking, rock climbing, canyoning, parapenting, parachuting, ziplines, paintballing, quad biking and 4x4 jeep safaris for the more adventurous.

From coastal walks to country treks, the area around Platja d'Aro offers plenty of terrain for all level of walkers and hikers, with marked routes and gentle trails to follow through a host of idyllic landscapes.
 
Horse Riding
There are local stables offering group treks and rides for everyone from beginner to expert, which lead through the picturesque Spanish countryside and along the Costa Brava coastline.

Platja d'Aro offers plenty of entertainment, with this lively resort boasting a wealth of bars, restaurants, clubs and discos, and organised events such as quiz nights and karaoke evenings   
 
Days Out
Other resorts to visit include Palafrugell, Llafranc and Tamariu, with the historic medieval city of Girona offering an alternative day out.
