Phuket Weather
Phuket Weather – Tropical summers
Phuket has a humid, tropical climate which experiences warm temperatures of approximately 29C all year round. The hottest time in Phuket is from April to May when temperatures range from 27C to 36C. Delaying your holiday in Phuket until the months of June, July and August may pay dividends as the weather is fine, yet the resort is generally un-crowded. During this time there are short but heavy showers, interspersed with plenty of sunshine with temperatures ranging between 20C -33C. Another bonus is that everything is a little cheaper at this time of year as well.
Weather In Phuket – Monsoon season
Tourists should note that Phuket experiences an average of 2540 mm of rain per year. The wettest time in Phuket is during the month of May, when there can be up to 25 days of rainfall. This marks the beginning of the monsoon season which experiences cooler temperatures and rain showers right up until November. However, visiting Phuket in the monsoon season does have its advantages, with its warm winds cooling the average temperatures of 29/30C. It should be noted that during the monsoon season, it doesn't rain every day. Instead, there will more than likely be short sharp showers interspersed with plenty of sunshine in between.
Phuket Weather – Ideal for winter holidays
Phuket holidays are popular in the months between November to March because of agreeable temperatures, clear blue skies and very little rainfall. During this time Phuket can become quite busy, and as a result, tourist activities and accommodation may become more expensive, but cool breezes and average temperatures of around 24C to 32C are often ample compensation.
