The Phoenix Park Inn is located around 800m from the long, sandy Candolim beach and around 250m from the shops, bars and restaurants of Candolim resort centre. Candolim is one of the quieter, more laid-back of Goa’s northern resorts – this really is a beach-lovers paradise, with the main focus here on enjoying the sun and sand, poodling around the souvenir shops and sampling the excellent local cuisine at your leisure. A popular local excursion is to visit the fort and lighthouse of Fort Aguada, built by the Portuguese in 1612, which makes for some good photo opportunities. Head inland and you’ll find decrepit Portuguese churches and other relics of Goa’s colonial past. Boat trips including dolphin spotting expeditions are another enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.

 

Accommodation at the hotel consists of 128 simple but homely rooms. Rooms are fitted out with large beds and tasteful furnishings. Standard rooms sleep up to 3 adults and come with 2 twin beds or a double bed, plus a foldaway bed if required.
