Weather in Patara – Perfect for a lazy beach holiday
Famed for its idyllic beach, Patara experiences a wonderful Mediterranean climate, with long hot summers and short mild, wetter winters. Conditions are perfect for a lazy beach holiday, where the average summer temperature reaches 28C, and the resort basks in 12 hours of sunshine each day. A great choice for a relaxing summer holiday, Patara Beach also offers excellent weather for an early or late season holiday, anytime from April to October. 
 
Patara Weather - Ideal for a summer getaway
The summer months here see plenty of hot dry weather and glorious sunshine from June to September. Early season months of May and June experience highs of 22C - 25C, and the sun shines for at least 8 hours each day. Conditions are still mildly humid, and the water temperature at this time is around 23C. By the peak season months of July and August, the average temperature has risen to 28C, sometimes climbing to above 30C, and the humidity level has increased significantly. Thanks to the unsheltered nature of the resort, Patara sees regular coastal breezes that can help to temper the intense heat and make conditions more comfortable. The hills behind the resort can also offer cooler temperatures, for those interested in outdoor activities, such as walking and biking, and a relief from the very hot weather. The sea temperature can reach 25C at this time, making the water ideal for swimming, water sports and boat trips. Night-time temperatures hover around 18C - 21C, meaning long warm evenings spent dining outside and strolling around the resort. Summers are dry, with rainfall virtually non-existent, and the peak season months seeing less than 8mm each.  
 
Weather in Patara - Spring and autumn time for less humidity
For those looking to escape the high humidity, a spring or autumn getaway to Patara might be just the thing, thanks to the cooler temperatures but guaranteed sunshine. April sees highs of 18C, rising to 23C in May, with these spring days experiencing fairly dry weather, with less than 70mm of rainfall each month, and a chilly water temperature of 20C. It could be a great time to get out and explore the area, and enjoy activities such as walking, biking, tennis and sightseeing. October sees highs of 20C, with the 23C waters of the sea remaining warm and pleasant late into the season, making swimming still possible. Winters here are still mild but wetter, with December and January dropping to 10C - 12C, and seeing as much as 227mm of rain, with the sun still shining for at least 5 hours each day.
