Windsurfing
Unique weather conditions make Paros a haven for windsurfers every year, with the island being recognised as one of the top three P.W.A (Professional WIndsurfers Association) sites in the world, and regularly hosting the World Cup. With its strong winds, great sandy beaches and abundance of sunshine, Paros is an ideal spot for the sport, for every level of windsurfer.

Sailing
As well as windsurfing, the strong constant winds that blow across Paros create ideal conditions for a sailing holiday. Plenty of sunshine and pleasant high temperatures ensure that a trip on the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean are a relaxing and rewarding experience. Try some island-hopping and visit Antiparos, as well as Naxos, Mykonos and Santorini.  

Scuba-diving
Excellent underwater visibility and a rich array of marine life mean conditions are also perfect for those interested in snorkelling or scuba-diving. Whether a beginner or open-water expert, there's facilities for all levels to explore the host of drop-offs, caverns, caves and reefs that lie below the crystal-clear blue waters around Paros.

Water sports
For those looking for something a little more active than soaking up the sun on the gorgeous sandy beaches of the island, the coastal resorts of Paros offer a selection of water sports. Choose from kite surfing, wake boarding, water skiing, kayaking and fishing.

Horse riding
With its beautiful countryside, Paros is ideal for exploring on horseback, with a large selection of trail rides available in the mountainous interior or along coastal paths. Discover the tranquil beauty of the island, on treks and rides that pass through olive groves, numerous traditional villages and ancient churches, as well as along the scenic paths along the beaches.   

Walking and cycling
An enjoyable way to tour Paros is by walking and hiking through the peaceful countryside. Discover the wonderful scenery off the beaten track whilst travelling from village to village, on the famous walking trail the "Byzantine Trail", which leads from Lefkes down to the valley. With its network of paths and trails, Paros is ideal for cycling too, with a choice of coastal and country paths, along with some mountainous terrain. 

Day trips 
In addition to venturing off to neighbouring islands, such as the tiny Antiparos with its stunning stalactite caves, Paros offers many interesting day trips. Visit Pirakia with its cathedral dating back to 326 AD, and Archaeological Museum, the marble quarries at Marathi anad the Valley of the Butterflies at Petaloudes. Tour the many charming villages on the island, from the picturesque fishing harbourtown of Naoussa to the traditional mountain village of Lefkes.
