Beaches
The picturesque resort of Parga boasts some fantastic beaches where you can take part in the many water sports that are popular in the area or simply lie in the baking sun and relax. Try the golden sands of Valtos Beach or head down to the two beaches at Lichnos and swim in the crystal clear Ionian waters.

Holidays in Parga are home to some excellent restaurants and cafes; you will be hard pressed to find fresher seafood than here. The superb restaurants by the harbour offer food ranging from international cuisine to traditional dishes such as grilled feta cheese and baked lamb. Dine al fresco in the warm evening air and listen to some traditional Greek music as you watch the lights twinkle over the bay.

There are plenty of chances to take part in numerous water activities in Parga. Head down to any of the local beaches and you can enjoy swimming, snorkelling, diving and jet-skiing.
Excursions
There is a range of exciting historical excursions from Parga including the Venetian Castle, the monasteries of Meteora, and Dodoni’s spectacular amphitheatre. Don’t miss the chance to of exploring the crypt at the Nekromanteio of Ayra where you can visit the legendary palace of Hades.

During the summer months this usually quiet harbour town is home to Italians and locals from Athens who holiday here. The nightlife in Parga kicks up a level as night falls and the bars and tavernas become a lively and colourful place to drink and listen to live music. There are also a few discos along the harbour where you can dance into the small hours.
Shopping
If you want to spend some cash on souvenirs, leather goods, handmade jewellery and bottles of Ouzo then head to the harbour front shops in Parga. You can also stock up on Ouzo and brandy to take home by taking a tour of the local Ouzo factory.
