Parga village itself is one of the prettiest coastal villages in Greece, built like a huge white amphitheatre rising from a pretty harbour. Parga has a couple of nearby beaches and a wonderful old town: a charming atmospheric maze of narrow lanes with whitewashed red-tiled houses, tiny shops and boutiques. Sivota is the kind of appealing, beautiful and unspoilt Greek destination that is becoming increasingly difficult to find. Sivota is a peaceful village with sparkling beaches with lots of shallow water. Nearby Valtos beach offers a glorious mile-long curve of sand. Lichnos is a lovely quiet sheltered beach resort set in a deep tree-shaded bay. Lichnos beach is accessible by little water taxis from the charming picturesque town of Parga.

Parga beaches are on the relatively undeveloped Epirus coast of north-west Greece and are served by the airport at Preveza which is around 50 miles away from most Parga beach resorts. Parga beaches are excellent and free of the big crowds. Holidays in Parga offer many more tiny secluded bays which can be reached by water taxi, a novel and very pleasant way of getting around in the Parga region. Small islands and beaches can be reached by little boats, and these Parga beaches offer real seclusion. Parga holidays normally offer watersports like waterskiing and windsurfing. Parga beaches provide exceptional conditions for snorkelling. Holidays in the Parga region offer dozens of worthwhile excursions which include the historic lakeside town of Ioannina, the Dodoni amphitheatre, the Perama caves, the resort of Lefkas and boat trips to the islands of Paxos, Anti Paxos and even Corfu. Buses run to local traditional villages like Agia and Anthoussa.
