Backwater Tours

The area is full of fascinating local villages, and the area is well-known for its coir making and handloom weaving, with visitors able to tour the small factories and production centres and see the workers in action. As well as the region's stunning natural beauty, the area boasts many temples and shrines to visit, as well as colourful markets and fantastic local restaurants to discover.    
 
Days Out
Paravur is home to some interesting sights such as the fort of Kottayil Kovilakkom and, Palliyam Palace, and the pilgrimage centre of Varkala lies just south of Paravur. The old seaport town of Kollam is close by and offers places to visit such as the lighthouse and the Adventure Park.
