Paravur holidays Paravur, located along the Malabar Coast of Kerala, is a resort town surrounded by the beautiful backwaters of the area. Holidays in Paravur – With good links to the commercial centre of Kollam Paravur is an important centre of coir production, and is well-known for its’ local handloom weaving. The area is rich in temples and churches, with the little village of Mayyaruda nearby, home to many shrines, and the pilgrimage centre of Varkala, with its’ mineral waters and magnificent cliffs, just south of Paravur. Places of interest in Kollam include the hundred-year old Thangassery Lighthouse, standing at 144’ high, and the Adventure Park, lying along the shores of the Astamudi backwaters, with an assortment of luxury cruisers and powerboats to hire.
