Paradise Island Weather

As the name suggests, Paradise Island is as close to the white sand and Caribbean sunshine island experience as it gets. Whether you are diving in the crystal clear ocean or sunbathing on the white sands you can be sure of spectacular weather. The tropical climate on Paradise Island makes for excellent weather all year round. The temperature will rarely dip below 25C and heads over the 30C mark from June until the end of October. Sunshine levels on Paradise Island are also high staying at an average of eight hours per day all year round.

 

The sun shines down on this beautiful island for around 310 days per year so you can be guaranteed clear blue sunny skies for most of the year. There are two seasons in the Bahamas calendar; the summer season lasts from May through to September and winter lasts from October through to April. During the summer the average temperature on Paradise Island will be around 30C but can reach higher and the winter average is a few degrees lower. Humidity is relatively high all year round and a few short showers can be expected during the summer months.

 

There is the occasional chance of some tropical hurricanes from the end of June until the end of November. However, the weather on Paradise Island is welcoming for most of the year and Christmas and New Year holidays are the most popular periods. Temperatures on Paradise Island at this time of the year are a more comfortable 27C and the island tends to be drier during the winter period. Evening temperatures will still be warm at around 26C making the night air perfect for beach parties and dining out in the open air restaurants.
