Rainfall during the summer months is rare and will tend to appear during the winter and early spring months. Weather in Paleokastritsa – The perfect beach weather
Summer in Paleokastritsa does begin during the month of May when the temperature begins to creep up over the 25C mark. Although heat waves with temperatures hitting over 40C have been know the average summer temperature will be around 25C. Thanks to the moderate humidity levels and coastal breezes the heat in Paleokastritsa should never be unmanageable. The numerous beaches will be the place to relax and swim in the warm Ionian Sea. Sunshine levels will be high during the summer and 11 hours per day is normal during June, July and August.
Paleokastritsa Weather – Warm Easter holiday weather
The spring weather in Paleokastritsa is warm with temperatures during the Easter holidays hovering just below 20C. Paleokastritsa becomes fresh and green during the spring, and sunny days may be interrupted by short-lived showers. Autumn is a popular holiday period with plenty of sunny days and temperatures staying over 20C until late October. The winter months will be cooler with some thunderstorms but there will be plenty of bright sunny days and frequent ‘mini springs’ as temperatures hover around 16C.
