Ozdere Weather

Located on the Aegean Coast in Western Turkey, between Kusadasi and Cesme, the unspoiled village of Ozdere boasts a typically Mediterranean climate. With hot dry summers and an abundance of glorious sunshine each day, Ozdere is ideal for a quiet family holiday on the Turkish coast, and offers a long summer holiday season running from April to October.

With over 300 days of sunshine per year, Ozdere boasts excellent weather for a beach holiday. Summers begin with temperatures of 27C in June, when the resort enjoys 13 hours of daily sunshine, and the waters of the Aegean begin to warm up, reaching 22C. Humidity levels start to rise, and rainfall is unlikely, with night-time temperatures hovering around 16C. By July and August, Ozdere reaches daytime highs averaging 29C - 32C, and the sea temperature rises to 24C - making the warm waters ideal for swimming, water sports and boat trips. The resort basks in 14 hours of sunshine and experiences high humidity during these peak season months, however cooling coastal breezes are present, and do serve to temper the intense heat. Night-time temperatures of up to 19C in the height of the summer in Ozdere mean balmy evenings spent dining alfresco and strolling around the resort. By September, the daytime temperatures in Ozdere are still high, reaching between 26C - 28C, and there are 11 hours of daily sunshine, however the decreasing humidity makes conditions seem more enjoyable. 

The spring and autumn months also see wonderful conditions for a relaxing holiday in Ozdere, with the resort enjoying average highs of 18C - 23C and at least 8 hours of sunshine each day. April and May are excellent months in which to get out and explore both the coastal and inland areas, and enjoy hiking, bike riding and sightseeing in the sunshine, without the intense humidity of the peak summer months. At the end of the season, October still sees great beach weather, with daytime highs of 20C and water temperatures remaining around 22C. Both April and October can see some rain, however, with monthly averages of around 50mm expected. Winters in Ozdere are mild but wet, with the resort receiving up to 150mm each month during this low-season period, and temperatures remaining around 11C - 13C.
